What we collect

HVAC Rated has no accounts, forms or newsletters, and we do not ask for personal information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the site running; these logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify visitors.

Data stored in your browser

The site stores two small items in your browser's local storage: the models you add to the comparison list and the state you last picked in the running cost calculator. They never leave your device and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites on the Internet.
